Making a difference in our community
is personal. Our volunteers know this better than anyone,
as they make individual connections through hands-on contributions
and directly experience the joy of working for lasting
change.
Ambassadors Program
Ambassador volunteers go out into
the community to present United Way of Santa Fe County’s
commitment to creating lasting change in chronic conditions.
Workplaces, groups and organizations host UWSFC Ambassadors,
who introduce UWSFC, our priorities and our programs.
To learn more about UWSFC’s Workplace Ambassadors
Program and how you can get involved, contact
Paula Scarpellino or call 505-982-2002.
Pancakes on the Plaza
Volunteers are key to the success
of Pancakes on the Plaza. Every July 4th more than 500
individuals cook and serve breakfast to more than 10,000
attendees. Volunteers cook in two shifts: 6:30 a.m. to
9:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
We also rely on industrious individuals to help guard
traffic barricades on July 3rd and 4th and to help with
cleanup at the end of the event.
For more information on becoming a Pancakes on the Plaza
volunteer, contact Chris Harris.
Santa Fe Children’s Project
Volunteers who enjoy working with children may assist at Agua Fria Preschool by reading stories to the preschool's 4-to-5-year-olds, monitoring recess time, helping with group projects and otherwise supporting the teacher.
For more information about helping at Agua Fria Preschool and to sign up as a volunteer, contact
Cynthia Fulreader or call 505-982-2002.
