All SFCP services are available at no charge to all families within the enrollment area of the Agua Fria Elementary School.

Agua Fria Pre-Kindergarten
The Agua Fria Pre-Kindergarten program began serving 18 four-year-old students at no cost to their parents in February 2004. A second classroom opened this fall. A cooperative project of the Santa Fe Public Schools, UWSFC and the Council for Educational Improvement, the model public-private preschool is housed at Agua Fria Elementary School. Already, we have compelling evidence of the program's positive impact on preparing its students for kindergarten.

Early-intervention programs in development:

Agua Fria Baby University
The Agua Fria Baby University will enroll and educate parents on parenting and give them access to quality prenatal care and parenting preparation. Workshops and classes will support healthy child rearing, training in child development, discipline, bonding, safety, home environment, health, nutrition and other topics to help parents become increasingly effective. The program will include involvement by pediatricians, nurse practitioners, doulas and others. A social worker will provide home visits and referrals.

Agua Fria Parent Resource Center
The Agua Fria Parent Resource Center will serve as a meeting place for parents where they can relax, chat with neighbors, and take advantage of a resource library and supportive staff. Classes, activities and workshops will be offered that are tailored to parents' needs and interests.
